Yakap Gamot Program Gives P20k Worth of Free Medicines Per Year

People can get P20,000 worth of medicines free under the YAKAP program of Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), said Dr. Ricky B. Ducas, Jr., City Health Office Mental Health Unit Coordinator during the City Cooperative Month Celebration last 17 October 2025.
“Yakap Gamot” under PhilHealth provides a free outpatient drug benefit worth up to P20,000 annually for members who register and get a consultation at a YAKAP Clinic. A doctor will issue a prescription through the GAMOT App.
One can also register at egov.ph for the free prescribed medicines by accredited doctors.
This app allows the member to claim the medicines at any GAMOT-accredited pharmacy by presenting the prescription and a valid ID, said Dr. Ducas.
Although the YAKAP pharmacies in Baguio are still undergoing accreditation, there are free medicines available at the CHO and District Health Centers for free.
