Calayan, Cagayan — The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) continued its relief operations on Saturday, 4 October 2025, for those affected by Super Typhoon NandoPH in Calayan, Cagayan, as it also responded to the aftermath of the recent earthquake in Northern Cebu.
Relief items such as sleeping kits, hygiene kits, kitchen sets, jerry cans, shelter tool kits, and tarpaulins are being distributed to families affected by the typhoon. From Aparri Port, the journey to Calayan takes about seven hours, with deliveries sent in batches depending on available transport vessels. In this photo, boats are used to carry the goods.
“This is where your donations go — to reach the most vulnerable, no matter how far, no matter how hard,” Philippine Red Cross Chairman Richard Gordon said in his Facebook post. (Facebook/Richard Gordon)
