Truck dives in Chico River, 3 dead

Three bodies were recovered and declared dead by Municipal Health Officer Dr. Diga Kya Gomez on 27 October 2025 along the banks of Chico River at Barangay Tocucan, Bontoc, Mt. Province after an Elf Truck fell into the river at 6:00 am this morning.
According to reports from the Bontoc Operations Center, the accident involving three vehicles – a blue Elf Truck, a Ford Fiera, and a mini-dump truck happened early in the morning.
As of publication, the search, rescue, and retrieval operations continue for the other victims of the accident.
