Sayote Farmers in Atok barely making a profit from hard work and high cost of farm inputs

Farmers barely making a profit with their freshly harvested Sayote produce as according to Eric Pawas,sayote at the Benguet Agri-Pinoy Trading Center fetches around 3to5 pesos a kilo wholesale barely enough to cover expenses from farm inputs, farm hand during harvesting, cost of fuel for transport.
While they still harvest and deliver to the trading post just for their produce to be sold at a loss than be wasted and unharvested.
