“Kina’ag”

Thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest as Hapao folk clad in their colorful traditional regalia fashion “kina’ag,” a figure made of rice stalks tightly bound by vines and offered to the life-giving Water Deities along the Nungulunan River.
The offering also is a prayer for a successful Rice planting Cycle in the upcoming agricultural season on August 8, 2024 in the province of Ifugao. Dave Leprozo Jr.
