BAGUIO CITY – Fire of still unknown origin gutted the basement of the Maharlika Livelihood Center at about 9:00 p.m. of 6 September 2025, according to early reports of Aldwin Quitasol in the Daily Tribune.
At the site, Mayor Benjie Magalong observes the ongoing operations of the Bureau of Fire Protection.
The fire comes more than a year after the July 16, 2024 fire that destroyed the parking lot on the third floor. The building was turned over to the City government this year by the Human Settlement Development Corporation.
