Endangered, rare Bleeding Heart Dove sighted in Ifugao

Asipulo,Ifugao, July 15, 2026 — A rare and endangered Bleeding Heart Dove (Gallicolumba Luzonica) was spotted in Asipulo, Ifugao according to video downloader Joan AD. Daulayan.
This was seen by the resident outside her home in Ifugao. According to Daulayan, she did not know the type of bird when she saw it and thought that the red mark on the chest was an injury. She observed that the bird was breathing and watched it for a few more minutes before it flew away.
Upon researching, she discovered the name of the bird which was listed as a near threatened extinct species under the International Union for Conservation of nature because of its diminishing population.
