Female new voter registrants in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) are more than males in the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) tally in seven of the 10-day-registration period at 51%.

There were 297 more Baguio City female registrants in the total 3733 posted, topping the chart. Benguet follows with 272 females more with 2,802 compared to 2530 male registrants. Abra females outnumbered the 2334 males by 113.

Kalinga was the only province in CAR where the male voters outnumbered the female by 30 in the new registrants count of 3664.

Mt. Province had four female voters more than the males in the total count of 1377. Ifugao had 77 more females at 1568, and Apayao 50 more at 1662.

The COMELEC report posted 26,593 registrants for CAR in the first seven days from August 1 to 7, 2025 with Benguet posting the highest with 5332 new voters, Abra with 4781, and Baguio City at 3733. The lowest number of new registrants was posted for Mt. Province with 2750.

Meanwhile, the Baguio youth aged 15-17 was the lowest among all the provinces at 868. Provincial Election Supervisor Atty. Elenita Tabangin-Capuyan commented, “Students are not interested much in the Sanggunian Kabataan elections.” She said the reason could be because their budget was not released due to the lack of forum. Another reason could be because most were already registered before the May 12, 2025 midterm elections and they are not keen on the Barangay elections.
