Now on its 3rd year the annual Department of Tourism Cordillera Administrative Region festival of Festivals was again held in Baguio City with a showcase of the 6 Provinces comprising Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mt.Province and the Chartered City of Baguio and Tabuk City.

As the country celebrates Indigenous Peoples Month, fostering a deeper understanding of our culture and people.

Presentation of musical and dance ensembles of eight major festivals in celebration of a bountiful harvest, rice and agricultural cycle, courtship dance, terms of endearment, birth, peace accord, successful hunt and a thanksgiving after a bountiful harvest.

Featured were Kawayan Festival of Abra, Kopyan Chi Matagoan of Kalinga, The Spirited Lang-Ay Festival of Mt. Province, Say-am Festival of Apayao, Kulpi ad Ifugao. Ifugao Province, Boding Festival of Kalinga, Adivay festival of Benguet and the Panagbenga Festival of Baguio City.

Each festival offers a showcase and unforgettable sensory experience and a colorful visual steeped in culture and traditions. Dave Leprozo Jr.
