JHMC celebrates July 4th Fil-Am with Cookout Competition

A big crowd during the July 4th Fil – Am celebrations Chicken in a Basket cookout Competitions in Camp John Hay Bell Amphitheater hosted by John Hay Management Corp.
Annual Philippine and American Friendship Day celebrations in Camp John Hay iconic Bell Amphitheater was celebrated on July 4, 2026 with a Classic American Culinary favorite cookout competition featuring various ways to prepare Chicken in a Basket.
Bell Amphitheater was abuzz with chefs and their staff prepping the American dish infusing a touch of Filipino replete with a menagerie of fresh farm produce and artistic presentation of prepped dishes that surely capture the palate of judges and visitors alike. Five Culinary teams prepared for the cookout competitions with Amare La Cucina “Pugon” garnering the top awards.
Noticeable during the culinary competition was the participation of the young generation of inspired future chefs. Meanwhile the atmosphere at the Bell Amphitheater was filled with the scent and aroma of culinary gustatory delights.
The competing team from Mt. Province were not able to make it in time for the cookout competitions due to unforeseen circumstances.
