Balili, Mankayan, Benguet – April 12, 2026 The Department of Agriculture–Cordillera (DA-CAR) extended support to farmers affected by rising oil prices through the deployment of its Kadiwa truck. The vehicle hauled at least 2.5 metric tons of potatoes from Am-am, Balili, Mankayan to the Benguet Agri-Pinoy Trading Center (BAPTC) in La Trinidad for trading.

According to DA-CAR’s price monitoring, wholesale potato prices at BAPTC currently range from ₱35 to ₱40 per kilo. The truck, which had earlier served Abra during the Kadiwa on Wheels activities on April 9–10, maximized its return trip by assisting RSBSA-registered farmers before heading back to Guisad, Baguio City.
