Police Officers carry vegetable produce along the rice terraces in Hungduan, Ifugao as aid to farmers.

Hungduan, Ifugao, April 16,2026 – Philippine National Police Members of MPS PMFC Hungduan,Ifugao help farmers in transporting crates of freshly harvested tomatoes weighing some 40 to 50 kilos along the mountainous terrain along rice and vegetable terraces to the tramlines loading platform in Barangay Nungulunan.

Tomatoes are carried down the mountainous terrain to the tram lines for transport to the market.

Farmers in the area are thankful to the police officers support as transporting fresh produce is a also a high added cost during harvest and transport season with the need to hire porters for the job. This added to the burden made by the fluctuating fuel prices with the on-going Middle East Crisis and low demand for the oversupply of farm produce.
