Crocheted Mandala up for Guinness record

BAGUIO CITY — A crocheted mandala artist guns for the Guinness World Record by an individual today, 12 September 2025.

At exactly 5:58 pm, Adelaida Guia went for the finishing last stitch for the Guinness world record.

At 6.114 meters in diameter, 3.057 meters radius, and 29.359 square meters, a handiwork of crochet in its finest lasting 68 days. The two days homestretch 9 September to the 10th was done at SM Mall Baguio atrium to make official measurements done by surveying professionals on hand.
The largest display of mandalas is 11,786 and this was achieved by Randeep Singh Nandal (India) in Rohtak, Haryana, India, on 31 March 2025.
Randeep broke his own record in honor of the 2025 Met Gala.
