PDEA CAR DRUG BUST YIELDS ASSORTED DRUGS IN ATOK, BENGUET

ATOK, BENGUET — Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency- Cordillera Mountain Province and Baguio/ Benguet Provincial Offices arrested two drug personalities and seized 55 grams of Methamphetamine Hydrochloride in a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Paoay, Atok, Benguet, on August 14, 2025.

Authorities have taken into custody a 30-year-old woman from Bugallon, Pangasinan, and a 34-year-old man from Noveleta, Cavite. They were riding a motorcycle towards Atok, Benguet, pretending to be tourists to disguise their illicit activities.

During the operation, confiscated were two clear plastic sachets with approximately 50 grams of suspected shabu from one of the suspects. Additionally, another sachet believed to contain around five grams of suspected kush was also seized. Drug paraphernalia was found in their possession as well.

 

The couple is now facing charges for violation of Section 5 in relation to Section 26 and Section 11 of Republic Act 9165. This effective anti-drug operation was carried out with the support of the local Philippine National Police from the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit and the Atok Municipal Police Station.
