By: Dave Leprozo, Jr.

The Legal Aid Activity was held today, September 17, 2026, as part of the 1st Katarungang Pambarangay Summit 2026, in cooperation with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines – La Union Chapter, at the Speaker Pro Tempore Francisco I. Ortega Convention Center, Brgy. Sevilla, City of San Fernando, La Union.

Members of IBP give free legal advice.

The activity aims to bring legal services closer to Elyucanos (residents of La Union) and provide them with free assistance, information, and guidance regarding their legal matters.

LU residents avail of Legal Aid.

The services available include free legal aid, legal advice, and consultations, as well as the drafting and notarization of simple legal documents, in accordance with the required processes and documentation.

The Legal Aid Activity was held only on 17 September, encouraging Elyucanos to take advantage of the opportunity to consult and receive free legal services from the participating legal practitioners.

The activity is part of the promotion of easier access to justice and bringing legal services closer to the citizens, especially those who need proper advice and guidance for their legal needs.
